Description

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; fr; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121621 Ubuntu/8.04 (hardy) Firefox/3.0.5 Build Identifier: thunar 0.9.0

The sidebar is very handy, but it takes too much room on small Thunar windows. It is possible to toggle the sidebar manually, but changing this setting applies to all new Thunar windows. I think it would be better to automatically hide the sidebar when the Thunar window isn't wide enough.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. open Thunar
  2. display the bookmarks sidebar (Ctrl+B)
  3. resize the window to a small width (e.g. 250px) Actual Results:
The sidebar takes most of the window, the actual file manager isn't usable.

Expected Results:
The sidebar should disappear below a minimum window width.
