cut delayed

cut is delayed by 10 seconds in some software e.g. Code Browser - http://tibleiz.net/code-browser/ (that's the only one I can recall at the moment)
it's tempting to think Code Browser is the problem but the delay is not seen with other clipboard managers
any suggestions?
