Alt+Tab dialog previews are gray rectangles for certain windows when in a different workspace

Description
The Alt+Tab dialog previews introduced in 4.12 have a problem when using multiple workspaces, so with:
- "Cycle through windows on all workspaces"
- "Show window previews instead of icons while cycling"
The problem is that when cycling in workspace B, some of the windows in workspace A are displayed as a gray rectangle instead of the normal preview. If you switch and cycle from workspace A, the same windows now appears as usual.
I didn't get why some windows are always ok, and some others are not. What can I see is that apps that are bad (grey box) are always bad also if I restart them (for example, all Calculator instances are always rendered bad).
You can see in the first screenshot while I cycle from B having opened in A: Firefox (ok), Calculator (gray box), Mousepad (ok), Terminal (gray box), Processes (ok). In the second screenshot I cycle from A, and all windows are now displayd ok.
