Limit Default Keyboard Settings for Workspaces

Description

Currently, the XFCE settings default to keyboard shortcuts for twelve workspaces, each of which the user can activate by pressing Ctrl-F1 to Ctrl-F12. This may have originated from bug 287: https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=287.

LibreOffice has some useful features that users can access by pressing the keyboard combinations Ctrl-F7 to Ctrl-F12. For example, Ctrl-F10 toggles visibility of non-printing characters, and Ctrl-F7 opens the thesaurus. By assigning Ctrl-F7 to Ctrl-F12, XFCE interrupts these keyboard combinations before they get to LibreOffice, and, by default, those useful LibreOffice are not available. The only way to get to them is to open Settings > Window Manager > Keyboard > combination > Clear.

My feeling is that making settings for 12 workspaces in XFCE is a bit excessive. I've been using XFCE for at least five years, and can't ever remember using more than three workspaces. On the other hand, I toggle non-printing characters several times a day.

Based on my own experience, and an assumption that more users need the LibreOffice thesaurus than they need to switch to 12 workspaces, I humbly request to remove the default XFCE settings for Ctrl-F7 to Ctrl-F12.

(If the community is interested, I can do an analysis of keyboard conflicts between all XFCE keyboard presets and common Xubuntu applications.)
