Created attachment 5427 xfwm4 video overlay issue after closing video player
Open a video player application and play a high-resolution video. Close application. After several repetitions (about 20) the area that used to be occupied by the overlay video does not update anymore, leaving a portion of the display unusable and unresponsive. The display can be corrected by disabling and re-enabling compositing through the settings manager.
Reproducible in Fedora 20 Xfce fresh install and fully updated install with VLC and other media players, both in i386 and x86_64 environments, with compositing enabled. Easier to reproduce with more processor-intensive videos, but the problem is reproducible with any video.
Video hardware: agpgart-intel, Intel 945GM Chipset, gtt size: 262144K total, 262144K mappable, 16384K stolen memory, AGP aperture is 256M @ 0x60000000. fbcon: inteldrmfb (fb0) is primary device. fb0: inteldrmfb frame buffer device.
Example attached - overlay of the remains of the video player - cannot be removed until the compositor is disabled.
