.desktop files with whitespace in the executable path cannot launch in terminal
If I create a .desktop
file where the executable path contains whitespace (eg /home/daniel/My App/run.sh
, I can launch it normally by double-clicking.
However, if I set it to "Launch in terminal", it errors out because /home/daniel/My
does not exist. It looks like it's not escaping the path sent to the terminal.
