Window manager and desktop icons issues
Here are a few bugs relating to the desktop manager:
-
Launching a new instance of Firefox from a .desktop file causes the application to start with a title bar even if you customize the application to only use CSDs. Keep in mind that running Firefox from the menus does not cause this issue. Also, if you launch Firefox from the menus/panel and then launch it from the desktop, there is no issue because the application just creates a new window for the original instance.
-
The popup menu that appears when right-clicking a desktop file does not have a shadow when the display compositing shadows feature is enabled. This menu looks fine in the file manager and when right-clicking on blank area of the desktop. Although it looks like a GTK2 menu, it could be just a styling issue.
These issues could also actually be a display compositing issue too. I know that this happens to Firefox in Openbox, but otherwise I don't have much else to go off of. All I know is that this isn't an XFWM issue.
