Show loading on mouse when an application is about to open
I hope this is the proper branch of XFCE to report this, but often when I open an application I see no feedback that this application is about to open. Usually you see a loading animation on the cursor, but on XFCE you rarely see that. Is this intentional? Can it be improved?
I think KDE does it the best, showcasing a small icon of the app that is about to open, attached to the cursor bouncing.
I think this is a must little feature to have.
Cheers!
EDIT: Ok I just realized this is a bit complicated...for one apps need to have StartupNotify=true i the .desktop file...if they do not apparently they cannot work like that. Correct?
Second, I have enabled that via the Whisker - Edit Applications, then do it for one of them and enable that. Interestingly it works when the app is opened from whisker, but not from a plugin like docklike for XFCE....
Lastly, the loading animation disappears when the mouse hovers say a website in a browser...or another app's window. Only appears when the mouse pointer is on top of Thunar, or the empty desktop, or the panels...
So all of this looks mighty confusing to me :D - how is KDE doing it for all apps by default? Or Gnome and the like?
