Power Manager? Can't shutdown or suspend

I started having issues while using Xubuntu 22.04 - occasionally I could shut down or suspend, but most of the time it would either just not do anything, or the screen would go blank but I couldn't wake the screen back up, though it was obviously still running (could SSH back in, everything was still operating, just no display).

Updated to 22.10, and it seemed like it was working for a couple of days, but now it's doing the same thing.

I'm not sure where to even start debugging this - what can I give you to help figure out what the problem is?
