Workspace Switcher - Miniature View buttons can look like two smaller buttons
The following two items are both issues that could make the Miniature View (MV) rectangular buttons appear to be two smaller square buttons in Panel when a Workspace contains two applications opened with 50/50 window split.
WINDOW BORDER BOLD CENTER LINE
When using a dark theme, opened windows in a workspace show up in the MV button with white borders around them.
When these two borders meet in the middle at 50/50, the center lines combine visually appearing as a bold line.
This can cause that rectangular MV button to appear as two square buttons in your panel visually.
In comparison to the thinner lines used to separate the actual rectangular MV buttons.
HIGHLIGHTING OF CURRENTLY FOCUSED WINDOW IN WORKSPACE
MV shows a background highlight color to indicate which window currently has focus in that workspace.
When same example of 50/50 is used, if one of those windows in that workspace has focus, then MV shows half (50) of that button highlighted, which again can make that rectangular MV button appear as two smaller square buttons visually.
Not sure if this is something that other users find valuable, but personally I think this background highlight can be used in a different way.
Rather than using it for showing which window has focus, maybe can just highlight the entire MV workspace button as an indicator to the user that that workspace button is currently active. To get an idea of what I am talking about this is already the current behavior of the MV button when a workspace has one application opened and maximized in that workspace, then the entire MV button shows up highlighted.
So in this case if a button showed 50/50 split, then the entire button would show fully highlighted instead of just half of it as it does currently
