In Panel, Thunar Application Button text shows beginning of entire path. All windows look like [📁 /home...] [📁 /home...] [📁 /home...]
By default, users can not tell difference between Thunar instances when selecting windows from panel without inefficient hovering.
XFCE4 Panel displays ungrouped Application Buttons using the full path instead of the current Folder. So they look like
[📁/home/your...] [📁/home/your...] [📁/Android/y...]
which due to duplicates, is little or no use when trying to recall which is which, and it only gets worse when you are several folders deep or have many windows open (shorter Application Buttons).
Also, when Panel is grouping Application Buttons, the dropdown again shows the start of the path and fails to display enough to distinguish between window contents.
e.g. [📁₃ Thunar______]
[📁home/yourname/Documents/MysteryF...]
[📁home/yourname/Documents/MysteryF...] ## Current state of affairs. Duplicate entries
[📁Android/yourname/Documents/Myste...]
[ Launch New Instance... ]
Proposed simple solution for ungrouped issue is to have the end of path shown and right aligned
e.g. [📁...Apples] [📁.../Pears] [📁...Apples] ## Duplicate Entries
Proposed simple solution for grouped issue is to have menu of variable width, dependent upon path length (and end of path in case screen is too small for path)
e.g. [📁₃ Thunar______]
[📁...e/Documents/MysteryFolder/Apples] ## Possible duplicates due to limited screen space & long paths
[📁...me/Documents/MysteryFolder/Pears]
[📁...e/Documents/MysteryFolder/Apples] ## Duplicates since common file structures used

A more complex solution would be to have distinguishing path features highlighted, but that's possibly bloatware and not the XFCE way.
e.g. [📁/h...pples] [📁/h...Pears] [📁/A...pples] ## Busy but unique
e.g. [📁₃ Thunar______]
[📁home/yournam...MysteryFolder/Apples]
[📁home/yourname...MysteryFolder/Pears] ## All unique
[📁Android/your...MysteryFolder/Apples]
