One Enter stroke not always open a given application

Description

In 4.12.0 (even built for GTK3) if I type, let's say, 'mo' and hit Enter once it opens Mousepad. In 4.13.5 and 4.14.0 it behaves differently: you have to hit Enter twice. This is pretty annoying.
