Location Selector should not change mode when window focus is lost

Thunar-Version 4.16.11

  1. When the Location Selector is set to Toolbar Style you can click inside of it to alter the path (via Pathbar Style) over the keyboard:

  2. I even can't take a screenshot of this 😆
  3. The problem is, that the Location Selector changes back from Pathbar Style to Toolbar Style when the window focus is lost.

If you have to type in a specific path and look it up from a website you are not able to change back and forth between Thunar and a web browser. Or if you want to connect to a remote location and want to double check the IP and port while you typing and have to look at another window, the typed information is lost.

Example:

  1. Type /var/
  2. Change to another windows and back
  3. It is not possible to enter log and switch to /var/log

By only using Pathbar Style it is possible to change the window focus and reedit the typed information.

Thank you for your great work, and all the best for Thunar 4.18 :)
