Broken 2-pane functionality

It seems that each new release of thunar brings more and more bugs instead of fixes. Now if I enable tab keeping in settings, start a two-pane view and close thunar, the next time I start it, all tabs from the second pane are lost. And the current tab from the first pane goes to the second pane.

Steps to reproduce

1. enable tabs keeping
2. open 2-pane view and open tabs in both panes
3. close thunar
4. start thunar

Current behavior

tabs in second pane are lost

Expected outcome

tabs in second pane are keeped

You are using a development release. The latest version is 4.19.3.

Now, it appears that the described issue was already reported in #1341 (closed) and fixed in the linked version.

Well, the xfce ppa's does not contain v 4.19.3 for Ubuntu 22.04

The Xfce related PPAs are maintained by the Xubuntu Developers team. Since 4.19.3 is already available for 24.04, there may be some reason why it is missing for 22.04.

so, is it possible to have a non-broken split-view on 22.04?

You could either contact the Xubuntu team or build 4.19.3 yourself.
