Thunar behavior with GVfs and admin protocol: password prompt issue
I am facing an issue with GVfs and the 'admin' protocol in Thunar. Whenever I type 'admin:' in Thunar, it immediately prompts for a password, even before I enter a path or press enter. This behavior is quite inconvenient as not providing the password first makes any changes to the path requiring me to dismiss two boxes every time I make a change. I have tried fiddling with settings but cannot find a solution. Florian Müllner suggested on the GNOME forum that Thunar might be trying to open the partially entered location to get completion entries, triggering polkit authentication. I made post on Xfce forum under the same title believing it may be caused by my setup. Toz, administrator on Xfce forum, confirmed this behaviour also occurs for them and suggested I make bug report.
