Password length inconsistency

When changing your forum password, the message on the change password screen indicates that it must be at least 6 characters long. If you enter a password < 9 characters long, you get an error message that the minimum length is 9 characters. I don't see an option on the administration tab to change the message.

Can the message on the change password screen be changed to indicate that the password must be at least 9 characters long? Thanks
