Languages are not countries, and wrong flags (ar)

Description

Hello,

This plugin looks pretty useful. However, I don't like the association of languages with countries. This seems to be something inherited from the X keyboard layouts, but it would be nice if this association could be optionally hidden in this plugin. What I mean is that I want to switch between Arabic and English, and would rather if the languages were indicated as: ar (for arabic) en (for english)

Right now ar is arabic, but my US-English keyboard layout shows "us" which is not really acceptable for me since I am Canadian. I don't think I would prefer "ca" much better.

Also, the arabic keyboard language shows an Argentinian flag when flags are turned on.
