Java 7 mouse events lost in pop-up dialogs when selected a keyboard layout different from the first one

If the user has more than one layout configured and selects one layout different for the first one, the mouse events on some pop-up dialogs of Java 7 applications are lost.

This is always reproducible in my environment:

• Install Jdk 7 (Oracle or OpenJDK)
• Install NetBeans
• Configure in the Keyboard Layout Plugin more than one keyboard layout
• Select the second keyboard Layout
• Create a NetBeans Java Project
• In NetBeans editor window, invoke code completion.

Expected:

• The pop-up dialog can be used with the mouse

Actual:

• The pop-up dialog is only usable with the keyboard

Environment: xfce-base/xfce4-panel Installed versions: 4.10.0(13:34:46 12.10.2012)(-debug) $ uname -r 3.7.10-gentoo
