in Whisker menu 1.5.1 and in Archlinux based distro [Manjaro/Antergos] can't modify menu apps no more. In Antergos the menu is not accesable, in Manjaro you can access the menu but when you try to do something Whisker goes down.
What do you mean by "can't modify menu apps"? You could never directly modify the items in Whisker Menu; it only launches a menu editor. Do you mean your menu editor is not launching? Or do you mean it is not detecting changes when you make them in your menu editor?
I set up test installs of both Antergos and Manjaro and Whisker Menu works fine for me and does not crash. It also functions correctly in my regular Arch Linux install. I'm not sure why it is crashing for you. Would you build a copy of the menu and run the panel in debug mode?

if you change the location of applications in the whisker menu by means of menulibre-changes are not saved. while in the classic menu-saved. I haven't checked, but a friend says that a similar situation a few distibutive. whisker menu is normally configured only in xubuntu.

What version of Whisker Menu are you using? The parsing of the menu items and categories isn't done by Whisker Menu directly; that is done by garcon, which the classic menu also uses, so I am not sure why changes wouldn't show up in both.

Hi, I don't know if this is the right place for it, but I think I have similar problem. I'm using xfce4-whiskermenu-plugin 2.5.3 on Manjaro 20.2.1. I remember using menu editor to add new programs to menu few months ago, but now this option is disabled/grayed out?
If you open the preferences of Whisker Menu and check the "Commands" tab it will tell you what program it is trying to use to edit the menu. The default program is menulibre, but I don't know if Manjaro has set it to something else.
