Recording indicator flickers

Hello,

the recording indicator added in !11 (merged) by @ochosi flickers distractingly when other operations are done at the same time, like starting/stopping a stream or changing the volume. Tested with pipewire/wireplumber.

Repro:

• Start recording, e.g. with Audacity
• Scroll on plugin to generate lots of volume change events
• Observe recording indicator flickering
