there is no "eject" for external hard disk

Description

Version 1.6.0 on xubuntu trusty

If I connect a pendrive, I see in right click menu unmount and eject. If I connect an external usb hard disk, there is only "unmount", and I need to run an external command to "safely remove" hard disk, spinning it down:

udisks --unmount $DEV && udisks --detach $DRIVE

Why there's no "eject" or "safely remove drive" for hard disks like gnome or cinnamon?

This feature is present in thunar, but strangely missing in places plugin
