Paste of \n not interpreted properly, maybe bug related to paste protection, regression 0.8.9.2 -> 0.8.10

Let's have the following contents of the clipboard:

echo line 1
echo line 2

both lines terminated by \n.

Pasting this into 0.8.9.2 results in the warning dialog shown and on confirmation, following:

xxx@yyy:~$ echo line 1
line 1
xxx@yyy:~$ echo line 2
line 2
xxx@yyy:~$

meaning everything is OK.

However pasting the same data into 0.8.10 results in the warning dialog and on confirmation, following:

xxx@yyy:~$ echo line1
echo line2

with no command prompt sign, meaning both \n characters were completely ignored. Then after pressing Enter, following is printed:

line 1
line 2
xxx@yyy:~$

First I thought that it may be related to the past protection, because the dialog's shape changed, but I am not so sure now.
