I would like to view a gif frame by frame

Description

I would like to be able to view a gif image in ristretto frame by frame. This would be very helpful to allow someone time to explain a gif step-by-step. Why is that important? One might want to use gif to show how something works. If each frame can be "frozen" by command, the whole experience would be nicer.
