NOT reacting properly on shutdown

Description
on fedora 31 with xfce, when I have Parole running and performing a shutdown it is hanging, retrying gives a non idle xfce windowmanager error on the screen
if I close Parole beforehand it shuts OK
reproducible on 2 PC'c running fedora 31/ XFCE
