Allow tiling hotkeys to work in fullscreen mode
XFWM4 provides tiling hotkeys that allow user to snap windows to their screen edges.
HOTKEYS EXAMPLE
SUPER+LEFT ARROW = snap window to 50% of left side of screen
SUPER+RIGHT ARROW = snap window to 50% of right side of screen
However, these tiling hotkeys do not work when current window is in "fullscreen" mode.
ISSUE EXAMPLE
-Say you have a video player that is set to open automatically in fullscreen.
-If you decide that instead you would like to snap that video player window to the left side of your screen using the tiling hotkey SUPER+LEFT ARROW, this does not work currently.
-You instead have to hit hotkey such as F11 to get out of the fullscreen mode and then have to hit SUPER+LEFT ARROW hotkey to snap the window to the left side of your screen.
SUGGESTION
I am suggesting to allow ALL of the XFWM4 hotkeys to function when in "fullscreen" mode, exactly the same way they would in normal windowed mode. WITHOUT the need to have to use fullscreen mode toggle hotkey (such as F11) to do so.
So if an application was in fullscreen mode...
SUPER+LEFT ARROW = exits fullscreen and snaps window to 50% of left side of screen
SUPER+X = exits fullscreen mode and maximizes window
SUPER+M = this currently is the only hotkey that DOES work, which minimizes the fullscreen application
If fullscreen mode can receive the SUPER+M minimize hotkey, then I would imagine it would be able to receive all the other XFWM4 hotkeys as well. If this is possible, I cannot think of any reasons why these hotkeys would not be programmed to achieve the same actions in fullscreen mode that they already do in windowed mode?
I was wondering if anyone would be willing to make this update.
