Click on X to close current window but ends up closing window behind

This one could just be me, but have noticed this happening quite a bit. When I have multiple windows open, I notice that if I use the X (in upper right corner of windows) to close, that many times it appears to close the window behind the current window I am trying to close. Not sure if maybe when this happens, my current window is just not fully maximized and maybe I am hitting a little piece of the X of the maximized window behind, or if it is a bug.
I try to use keyboard as much as possible for this, but sometimes I use my mouse.
Just wondering if anyone else ever experiences anything like this?
