Prevent popup windows from one workspace migrating to another
Hi,
Not sure if this is even possible, however -
My suggestion for a quite significant improvment in the WM
I assume this is the right place for this suggestion, although I am not 100 % sure
I explain my problem: Sometimes I am working on development of some software (data analysis) which produces many windows to display output during the course of execution.
This renders my entire workstation unusable while analysis is running, because windows are continually created every few seconds, and they steal the focus away from other windows I am working on
I am aware that I can prevent ANY newly created window from obtaining focus, however this renders my workstation equally as unusable, for example CTRL+ALT+n
with web browser or xfce4-terminal should take the focus, because it was created from a user input, rather than some automation as part of an executing process/program.
My suggested solution would be to confine newly created windows to a particular workspace.
I should be able to exec my program, and then change to a different workspace to continue working, then come back and view all the created windows at a later time.
Does it make sense?
Best regards to all
