Full-screen screenshots/window-level screen-casts appear cut off and/or offset
Issue Description
Screenshots via XFCE Screenshooter and (some?) window screen-casts appear offset/cut off, in which portions of windows or screenshots are offset onto other monitors or cut off entirely This may be a multi-monitor only bug.
Steps to Reproduce Issue
- Take a full-screen screenshot using XFCE Screenshooter, or start a screen-cast of a specific window.
- The capture will be cut off and/or offset.
Expected Behavior
The capture is aligned properly with the monitors or inside the window decorations respectively.
Additional Information
As for the screen-casts, this was observed with COSMIC's xdg-desktop-portal-cosmic, as it is fully Rust-based and was built for another Smithay compositor in mind and worked the best from what I had tested. It also seems to be inconsistent and doesn't happen with every application.
This may or may not only happen with multiple monitors, I don't know. More testing on more varied hardware is needed.
Screenshot tool:
On the actual monitor, the full GIMP window is visible on the largest center monitor and the display properties window is near the top left. I'm not entirely confident this is a compositor bug and not an XFCE Screenshooter bug though, since grim appears to work as intended, but I am completely unfamiliar with any of these applications' code-bases so I am not sure.
Window screen-cast:
This is 2 independent PipeWire screen captures in OBS Studio. The XFCE About window here appears fine, but the XFCE Terminal behind it has slightly offset window decorations, the menu bar isn't visible, and about a line and a half of text is cut off.
