Xfce 4.20 strange 'icon positioning on desktop'
Issue Description
Opening a folder on the desktop (here the home folder with thunar). Do a left click on text files and some folders. Drag the marked text file and folder one-by-one out of the home window to the desktop (just out of the window) and dropping the item on the desktop (release the left mouse button).
On Debian 12 bookworm and all the Xfce versions since Debian wheezy the used behavior was, that those items would move over to the left side of the desktop in a column.
Now with Debian trixie/testing the items stay on the position, where the left mouse button was released.
Reference for the two screenshots demonstration the behavior >> https://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?pid=77852#p77852
Steps to Reproduce Issue
Can be reproduced in two different Debian trixie/testing installations. 1st in a VBox under Debian bookworm and 2nd in a separate trixie/testing installation
Expected Behavior
I am not sure what to expect. Is this a new feature? Can this behavior be configured? I am totally unsure, what to expect ....
Additional Information
First action when seeing this for me is asking advice in forum.xfce.org. And as ToZ advised to open a bug report, here I am.
Please see https://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?pid=77852#p77852
Those screenshots in the forum will be deleted after some days and I don't see a possibility to upload pictures here, but I'll keep the screenshots on my machine.
