xfdesktop does not show drive icons

Issue Description

xfdesktop shows storage device icons on desktop if it was enabled. This works on X11 but not on Wayland

Steps to Reproduce Issue

1. start xfdesktop normally

Expected Behavior

If enabled, storage drive icons should appeared on desktop

Additional Information

Running in both X11 and Wayland

Environment & Versions

• OS distribution and version: slackware64 current
• Overall Xfce version: 4.20pre2
• xfdesktop version (git hash if not a release): 4.19.7
• Windowing system (X11/Wayland): xfwm4 (X11) and labwc (Wayland)
• Compositor and version (if Wayland): labwc 0.8.1
• GTK Theme: Matcha Azul
• Icon Theme: papirus
• UI Scale Factor: 1
