Wallpaper doesn't change after closing lid

Issue Description

Wallpaper in current workspace doesn't change after closing laptop lid for a bit and reopening it. "Next background" command doesn't make a difference either. Switching to a different workspace however allows the wallpaper to be updated.

Steps to Reproduce Issue

Close laptop lid for about 20 seconds; open it again.

Expected Behavior

Wallpaper should update when "Next background" is clicked.
