[feature request] sort file/launcher types separately

Could the different file types be given different orientation?

I'd really like to be able to sort folders, say, bottom-left-horizontal while sorting drives top-right-vertical. Similar things for the network shares, other devices, folders and plain files would be useful. I imagine some sort of sorting rank may have to be assigned so they don't overlap (drives are ranked first, say, then shares, then other devices, then folders, then plain files or symbolic links or whatever.)

XFCE doesn't seem to keep everything exactly where I left it, this would help alleviate that a bit and also automate icon separation.
