Feature Request: Touchscreen Mode for XFCE
Hello,
First, I'd like to say that, overall, touchscreen input on XFCE works quite well (I've tested it on several devices), but there are some key aspects missing. It would be very useful to have a dedicated touchscreen mode that allows users to work without a mouse. Proposed Functionality: When the user activates the touchscreen mode (for example, via a script that is triggered by a specific key), the following should happen:
-
Cursor Hides: The cursor should disappear from the screen.
-
Context Menu Activation: If a user holds their finger on a specific area for a defined amount of time (which should be customizable in the settings, e.g., 500 milliseconds), a context menu should appear, similar to a right-click action with a mouse.
-
Context Menu Scaling: Ideally, the context menu should slightly increase in size to be more touch-friendly.
I believe that implementing these features would significantly enhance the overall user experience for touchscreen users. Thank you for considering this request!
