Mnemonics in embedded dialogs are always visible

When opening an embedded dialog in the Settings Manager all mnemonics in various labels are visible. This is a very old bug which may need to be addressed in the GTK code (unlikely since GtkSocket is an abandoned concept).

I was able to work around the issue by tweaking the dialog initialization. Example: appearance-settings.diff
