Description

Description of problem: Running xfce4-display-settings from CLI or from Application Menu throws the dialogue window

Unable to start the Xfce Display Settings

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): xfce4-settings-4.10.1-3.fc20.x86_64

How reproducible: Always

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Run xfce4-display-settings from command line.

OR

  1. Click Display Settings from Application Menu -> Settings

Actual results: This error is thrown Unable to start the Xfce Display Settings

Expected Results: Display settings should appear properly.

Additional information: Faced the problem first in F18, upgraded to F20 and problem persists. Although I can bypass the real issue of selecting display settings from arandr or xrandr, I would appreciate if this issue is tackled. I have strace available. Will attach in a bit after masking the confidential data.

Version: 4.10.1
