Sometimes keyboard shorcuts stop working. Sometimes I doesn't happen for two or three days, sometimes it happens one our two hours after I log into Xfce, sometimes it happens right after I log into Xfce.

If I log out and into Xfce again, then it works.

Tried doing xfdesktop --reload and XFSETTINGSD_DEBUG=1 xfsettingsd --replace --no-daemon and neither helped.

It is worth nothing that not every shorctut stopps working.

List of some shorctuts that stop working:

  • Alt-F2 for the Xfce run dialog
  • Super-R (to run gmrun)
  • Super-W (to run xfdesktop --windowlist)
  • Super-F (to run firefox)
  • Super-H (to run Thunar on my $HOME)
  • PrtSc (to run xfce4-screenshooter)

Things that seem to work with maganing the desktop itself seem to still work after the ones listed above stop working:

  • Super+1/2/3/4 (to navigate to desktops 1, 2, 3 and 4
  • Super-D (to minimize all windows)
  • Super-M (to minimize the current window)
  • Alt-F4 (to close the current window)
  • Alt-F4 (to bring up the shutdown/restart/logout dialog)
