Mouse and Touchpad settings on FreeBSD

Submitted by Marko Cupać

Description

Hi,

FreeBSD have recently introduced xorg-server-1.20.7, which uses UDEV. This has apparently rendered "Mouse and Touchpad" settings for synaptics touchpad unusable on FreeBSD.

Workaround to set properties through xinput is described on FreeBSD forum: https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/mouse-aceleration-with-xorg-udev.74159/

I have opened PR in FreeBSD Bugzilla, I got the reply to report it here: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=244397

Any chance to make "Mouse and Touchpad" settings manipulate xinput on FreeBSD, or restore functionality in some other way?

Thank you in advance,

Version: 4.14.2
