Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable)
While investigating on an issue with evolution, I got the impression that the real problem is in the way xfce4-session
closes the processes. This stems from the fact that, after I close the session, my .xsession-errors
is filled with the following messages:
...
Gdk-Message: 21:15:58.140: evolution: Fatal IO error 0 (Success) on X server :0.
Gdk-Message: 21:15:58.146: volumeicon: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0.
Gdk-Message: 21:15:58.147: devilspie2: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0.
Gdk-Message: 21:15:58.147: light-locker: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0.
... and more ...
My overall idea is that, for some reason, all the X processes quit abnormally: that would also explain my issue with evolution. If you need more info, please give me some detail on how I am supposed to troubleshoot xfce4-session
, as I do not have a coredump and I do not see anything abnormal in my logs.
I'm on ArchLinux, xfce4-session
4.14.2.
