Going to sleep with lockscreen causes sleep to be delayed until lock process finishes

xfce4-session 4.18.3 (Xfce 4.18) on Arch.

This is a regression from a previous version.

My setup is as follows: xfconf setting /general/LockCommand is set to xsecurelock I sleep the system (either through the panel button, hotkey or lid). The system turns on the lockscreen but does not go to sleep. I enter my password. The system immediately goes to sleep.

I'm unsure which version I was on prior but it was likely before this summer (I would guess maybe 4.15 or 4.16).

It appears that xfce waits until xflock4 returns to actually begin sleeping.

I've also tested slock which exhibits the same behavior
