xfce4-power-manager crashes x

hi gang, this is my first ever bug report,

my system appeared to be freezing up when trying to wake my desktop in the morning. the only options I have set in power management is to blank my monitor, put it to sleep and power off at specified times. this has worked flawlessly for years.

I assumed my system was frozen as nothing would respond. after days of troubleshooting, I finally did a fresh install of arch and xfce, problem still there. disabling power management fixes the issue. after some time in the forums, my logs show errors:
