xfce4-power-manager wakes up Monitor when receiving a power inhibit request
This issue may be related to issue 180, but it appear to be unassigned.
Context: Linux Mint 21.2 Xfce edition
Setup: xfce4-power-manager set to blank display after 10 minutes, suspend at 11 minutes, switch (monitor) off at 12 minutes
No system suspend, or lock - both set to never
Linux Mint Update Manager (mintUpdate) refreshes package upgrade list every 2 hours.
Issue: Monitor wakes up every 2 hours without any keyboard or mouse activity
This was not a problem with LM 21.1 which included Xfce 4.16. LM 21.2 introduced Xfce 4.18 which included the power manager change "Inhibit DPMS when getting power inhibit request". It seems that the monitor wake up is an unintended consequence to this change.
The monitor will eventually go back to power off mode but this xfce4-power-manage change results in unacceptable behavior with screen blanking and monitor power management.
Not sure how this might be resolved.
