Power manager - Do nothing laptop option missing - not compatible with external monitor

I don't know if this is a bug or intended, but there needs to be a "Do nothing" option when closing a laptop lid because the 3 current options: Switch off display, Suspend, Lock Screen all stop display on an external monitor so a "Do nothing" option is required.
