Settings are not honored when session is locked
Using Manjaro XFCE with XFCE 4.16 .
I have set my energy options to always ask what to do when I press the power or sleep buttons.
This works OK when I'm logged in, but it does not when I'm at the Log in screen (LightDM GTK Greeter?). When I'm here, pressing the Power off button really powers off the computer.
Not mine, but serves as example
It happens that many times after locking my session, I don't remember if I had locked it or hibernated or put to sleep. Thinking that it was one of the latter options (and partially because the screen is black), I press the Power button, and sadly discover that it was locked and now it's turning off, and I'm losing work and time.
Another thing that I'm right now realizing is that my screen settings are neither respected and that's why I have a black screen after locking my session.
I have chosen never to turn the screen off, nor the computer, while on battery, but it seems that these options are superseded by LightDM Greeter, which has its own slider to turn off the screen. Thing is, this slider is in a different settings window, while I'd expect them to be alongside the energy settings.
I understand that this may might sense in a multi user environment maybe, where you could want to have a screen-off settings for the greeter and other settings for each of the users, but I have to say that this is quite confusing. Why the greeter/log-in screen has to be considered something so different to the normal user interface? This might be expected behavior anyway, as they are different programs, but still...
