Launching application from xfce4-taskbar-plugin can result in an infinitely blinking icon

Description

First, I apologize if this bug has been entered in the wrong place...

I have an application (Perforce VCS) that first brings up a dialog... if the dialog is accepted, then the "true" application is finally loaded, but if the dialog is canceled (for whatever reason) then the "true" application is never loaded and the blinking launcher icon continues to blink forever. I wonder if the blinking icon could have some sort of time-out in order to prevent the infinitely blinking cursor in strange launching situations.
