Feature Request: Option for Panels To Not Overlap Other Panels

I really like that we can have N-Number of panels in any arrangement we want, snapped to left/right/center, or even placed fully manually along any side of the screen (or anywhere else).

However, I'm finding that I would really appreciate the panels being (optionally?) collision-aware, so that they won't overlap one another when a panel's contents expand it's width.

So, for instance, I wanted to split out my bottom panel to three parts:

1. Docked Left, Whisker Menu and some App Launchers
2. Docked Center, Window List
3. Docked Right, System monitors, clock, mailwatch, switch to desktop

What I found when I split my normal bottom panel into three is that the Window List panel would expand when I was using my computer more heavily and overlap both the Left and Right panels, whereas I expected it would grow to fill the empty space and then simply stop expanding.
