Window Buttons - Drag and drop to change button order update

XFCE 14.18.1
XFCE 14.20.x (still occurs)

Window Buttons plugin Settings
Window Buttons Sorting Order: None, allow drag-and-drop
Group windows by application = OFF

With these settings above, user has the the ability to drag & drop "window buttons" in the panel to change their order. However I have noticed that it does so by having to drag a "window button" into more than 50% of the width of the "window button" that you want to swap it with, in order for this action to be applied.
I was wondering if it would be considered to make this more like 90-100%, so the action happens more immediately when dragging. This seems to be the way that most other DEs that allow this function, provide this.

This may seem like a small issue but to me it just does not feel right in its current state.
Often drag and drop and the action does not occur.
Hopefully others will agree.
