panel crashes if on systray process crashes

I ran vlc /dev/video0 and vlc /dev/video1. This crashed the vlc process. It has all liberty to crash. Likely I invoked vlc incorrectly...

While doing that, the xfce4-panel process also crashed. As a result the icons for NetworkManager and KeepassXC also disappeared.

This was observed with core packages with their xfce-4.18 branch state from 2023-02-09, running on SLE15-SP4.
