Status Tray Plugin: Hide known items by pattern

Please add a way to use patterns or wildcards when hiding known items. For instance there is nm-applet that is showing a changing item name:

wi-fi network connection 'home 1' active: home (77%)
wi-fi network connection 'home 1' active: home (79%)

Every time I look at it it's not hidden anymore because the name has changed...
