some fonts look condensed

On Debian Testing with xfce4-panel 4.14.4-1 Microsoft TrueType core fonts like Tahoma looks condensed. Screenshot shows Debian Testing with xfce4-panel 4.14.4-1 on the left and Debian Stable with xfce4-panel 4.12.2-1 on the right.

Hint: compare menu items which contain substrings like "Ac", "Ap", "Au".
