I have dual monitors with terminals of ipcams in one monitor. all these apps have borders and it clutters the workspace switcher and makes the whole desktop look old (possibly exacerbated by using a dark theme like i am, IDK).
I would like to be able to disable borders for workspaces (especially when not selected/in focus) as a minimal improvement.
More border/theming options for the workspace switcher would be nice for xfce, in general, i think.
I might like to have a border (with color and thickness, roundness, of my choosing) that wraps each whole "dual desktop workpace" as one workspace instead of wrapping each app in the two "half workspaces", if that makes any sense.
Everything else looks nice enough (that i remember). This seemingly minor theming limitation has been a thorn in my side for a while.
Also, some workspace app icons have a gradient background and some don't. I would also like to get rid of that gradient background. I might like some light highlight color for the border when a workspace is selected, instead of applying a background to the selected workspace and wiry border to all workspaces.
Finally, it's called "miniature view", but doesn't actually show a miniature view. It shows an app icon. I think it should probably be renamed to reflect what it actually shows. I like the app icon just fine, just find the naming confusing.

1. Have a multimonitor setup where the tops of each monitor are not aligned.
2. Have a panel at the top of every monitor.
3. Turn off the setting that disables panel struts, which has been renamed to "keep panel above windows".
4. Maximize a window on a monitor that doesn't touch the top of the desktop.
Expected result:
The window should maximize into the space below the panel, like this:

This happens because the setting has been renamed in a way that no longer describes what it actually does. This setting controls whether the panel sets a strut to prevent windows from entering it's on-screen area. If windows do enter that area the panel will always be above them unless the window is set to "always on top" or is a fullscreen window and is focused. The setting has no effect on stacking order at all.https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-panel/-/issues/659Clock with seconds moves panel items.2023-08-21T13:31:46ZTheReverend210Clock with seconds moves panel items.Xfce 4.16, potentially carried over to 4.17/18

When having a clock at the right of the panel and enabling seconds, as the width of the number changes, it pushes all panel items next to the clock across.
For example, as seconds reach 10, items move a few pixels to the left. As seconds turn to 11, with 1 being narrower than 0, panel items move a few pixels to the right, then left again as seconds become 12 etc.
My panel currently has from right to left, separator, clock, separator, notification plugin (external), status tray plugin (external), separator, workspace switcher. Even removing the external plugins and separators, the clock still pushes the workspace switcher across.https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-panel/-/issues/658Panel loosing all starters after reboot- Resore of configuration via panel pr...2022-11-10T16:21:07ZMike PoteserPanel loosing all starters after reboot- Resore of configuration via panel profile menager failsXubuntu 22.04.lts, linux 5.15.0-52-generic, xfce4-panel 4.17.4

The panel profile (position and content of three panels) is lost on boot. I entered everything again yesterday and saved the configuration using the panel save and restore function. But today they are gone again after boot. The saved configuration does not bring back the starters. It also did not work yesterday, to bring back the starters from saved profile. I have several non-app-starter entries (menus) that were restored from the profile and also the panel position was restored from the saved profile, but not the app-launcher/starter configuration. - Upon booting, most of the times no applications show up in the status tray (occasionally it works as expected)
- Upon closing an application and restarting, it does not show up in the tray.
In both cases I can get all applications back into the tray by either restarting the panel (`xfce4-panel -r`) or by killing just the Status Tray (in my case: `pkill panel-4`). The xfce4 panel version is 4.16.3.

Unless I set the brightness level unreasonably high, it is difficult for me to see the distinction between each workspace in the switcher. Hovering over an unselected workspace highlights it for me, but that too is barely visible.
Another example is the knob on the brightness slider:

- Now move window focus back to the maximized window.
- Observe that the bottom panel does not auto-hide.
